DPB Vault is a private storage area for admins. Use it to keep groups of internal documents in one place, such as accident files, claims, contracts, or anything else you want to store outside of your drivers' and equipment's regular documents.
Admins only: Vault is visible in the admin dashboard only. Drivers can't see Vault documents in the driver app.
Turn on Vault
Go to Settings > Other Settings and turn on Vault under Models. Vault then appears in the left menu.
Create your own Vault types
Vault uses its own custom types, separate from your regular Doc Types.
Go to Vault and open the Doc Types tab.
Click + Add Doc Type.
Enter the type name, for example Accident, Claim, or Contract.
Turn on Notify Expiry if you want to be notified when documents of this type expire.
Click Save.
Use the pencil icon to edit a type or the trash icon to delete it.
Add a Vault document
Each Vault document works like a folder: one record that can hold many files.
Go to Vault and click + Add Document.
Under Basic, choose the Doc Type, set the Date, and add an Expiry Date if needed. Creator is filled in with your name.
Under Assets, choose the Driver, Vehicle, and Trailer involved, if any.
Add a Description.
Under Documents, drop in or browse for all the files that belong to this record, such as photos, videos, the police report, and claim paperwork.
Click Save.
Example: Create one Accident document for an accident in Alabama, then add the photos, dash cam video, police report, insurance claim, and repair estimates to that same document. Everything for that accident stays together.
Add more files later
In the Active tab, click the eye icon next to the document.
The Update Document page lists the files already attached.
Drop in or browse for more files under Documents, then click Close when you're done.
Find and manage Vault documents
The Active tab lists every Vault document with its Date, Doc Type, Description, Name, Vehicle, Trailer, and Expiry Date.
Use the search bar and Filters to find a document.
Use the eye icon to open and update a document, the download icon to download it, or the trash icon to delete it.
Tip: Use Vault for internal records. For documents drivers need to carry or show at an inspection, use the regular Documents section instead.
