Who this article is for: Geotab customers who connect Digital Permit Book directly from the DPB dashboard. If you signed up through the Geotab Marketplace (Order Now) and use DPB as an add-in inside MyGeotab, see Geotab Order Now (Add-in) instead. That setup uses single sign-on and doesn't need the steps below.
Before you start
Make sure your Company ID (in Settings > Other Settings) is what you want all drivers to use for login. Contact support if you need to change it.
To set a default password for all drivers added from Geotab, contact support with the password you want.
To restrict drivers to their own vehicle or trailer, go to Settings > Driver App and turn on Lock Vehicle or Lock Trailer. If left unlocked, drivers can access documents for all vehicles and trailers.
Activate the integration
Go to Settings > Integrations and choose Geotab.
Click Activate and enter your Geotab credentials in the popup.
Back on the Geotab Integration page, click Sync Vehicles, Trailers, and Drivers, then close the window.
Sync details
The integration syncs drivers, vehicles, and trailers every 15 minutes, and automatically updates each driver's assigned vehicle and trailer.
Driver access
Drivers can use the Android or iOS app, request an APK for tablets, or log in at https://driver.digitalpermitbook.com. To set up SSO, contact [email protected].
